Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities

Who We Are

Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities services serve eligible individuals of all ages diagnosed with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities. In Oregon Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities services are provided through the counties. Multnomah County, Washington County, and Clackamas County provide services to residents of their respective counties.

What we do

Our goal is to increase overall quality of life, promote independence and integration by providing resources and services in the family home and community for individuals we serve.

County Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities programs provide individually focused service coordination to eligible individuals. The child’s case manager works closely with the child and their family/network of support to develop an individually tailored support plan and to help them progress toward their identified goals comprised of educational aspirations, community integration goals, and plans for transitioning into adulthood.

Services and hours of support are contingent on program eligibility, Medicaid eligibility and the results of assessments conducted as a part of the service planning process.

Most services require Medicaid (OHP) eligibility. If a child does not have Medicaid upon enrollment, the case manager will discuss option.
